About me

I arrived at proofreading by way of my background in journalism, typesetting, graphic design, office administration and teaching English for speakers of other languages. My love of typography and language is the binding element in that mixed bag of skills.

English is my mother tongue and I’m fluent in Dutch. I grew up in England and spent a few years in New Zealand and Australia before settling in The Netherlands in my 20s. I lived in Aruba, Dutch West Indies, for 10 years before returning to my roots in the UK in 2004. I recently moved my freelance practice from London to the Staffordshire Moorlands. From my new base in the countryside I’m easily accessible online via email, messages, WhatsApp and FaceTime or Skype.
